Clinton Jones

One of the FBI White Collar Crimes Unit's most resourceful and dedicated agents, Clinton Jones is Peter Burke's point man when a lead needs to be run down or an investigation requires backup. Clinton Jones was a Lieutenant in the Navy. He went to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. (3.8) He then left the Navy to attend Harvard Law School. (1.1, 2.2, 3.8)

Jones joined the FBI eight years earlier. (3.8) After joining the FBI, he quickly became interested in the white crimes division. When he heard Peter was formulating a white collar task force, Jones requested to be on it. Jones has been with the FBI approximately 7 years and put the Dutchman on Peter's radar. (2.11)

During his last year in Annapolis, Maryland, Jones was dating a woman named Isabelle. They dated while he was in law school and broke up right before he joined the FBI. Isabelle Wilson eventually married a Navy friend of Jones' named Jimmy Wilson. Isabelle is now a linguistics professor at Princeton. She calls Jones "C.J." They had not seen each other for eight years. (3.8)

About Sharif Atkins

Clinton Jones is played by Sharif Atkins. Atkins was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and grew up in Chicago. He earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in 1997. He is best known for playing Dr. Michael Gallant on the medical drama ER from 2001 until 2004. In 2004, he left ER to star on a short-lived police drama titled Hawaii, also created by Jeff Eastin. Atkins then returned to make guest appearances on ER. Atkins also played Gary Navarro on the show The 4400 and has appeared on the shows The Good Wife, Criminal Minds, and CSI: Miami.
